Simple Beginnings ...My letter to you  

In 2017, I started Then Came Nine as a wedding shop. I saw the demand of wedding products and I wanted in! I started out with favor and accessory bags, as well as totes. Even though the orders were coming in, I wanted to do more, and service the world in another way. I wasn’t being fulfilled.

THE REBIRTH 
The back story to the back story

I have always loved expressional sayings. A string of words that make you feel good and places you in a new frame of thinking.  I loved how the words jumped out and spoke to me and my spirit. It ignited something within that solidified my admiration for products that had something to say. I wanted to create, and encourage feelings based on products that had the potential to make you feel good, if not great! I just didn’t know where to start.  

IT’S ALL COMING TOGETHER
In March 2019, I was asked to make shirts and accessories for an event highlighting the natural hair community. I took the offer and extended myself to be a vendor at the event. There was only one problem, I didn’t have any products to showcase other than wedding favors. I hit the ground running and took this opportunity to create a couple of t-shirt ideas that I thought was dope! Each design idea had to have a meaning behind it. Afterall, what are words without meaning, right! I also thought, since I am vending at a natural hair event, why not have natural hair inspired tees for the curly girl.

THE GLOW UP
With the success of the event, I really wanted to take the business on another level, and showcase a lifestyle brand that was thought provoking, provided feel good vibes, and motivated you with the wording while still looking good, stylish and comfortable. 

MOTIVATION 
Our concept is simple...create apparel you can feel good in. We want the opportunity to create products that are stylish, comfortable, and expressive. Each expression you rep has a meaning behind it, a meaning you give it. With each garment, we want to provide words that motivate, inspire, and capture the true essence of you. Rep how you feel, put it in your chest and make a statement. 

As our brand continues to grow and shape itself, we look forward to providing you with only the best.
